Did you ever have a special not just any ordinary but I mean really special time in your life
that affected you in ways that left an everlasting memory for you to treasure? Now I am not
just talking about those Kodak moments where you capture a vision of something or someone
and place it in your photo album. Although they are nice and may even strike an emotional
cord inside, I am talking life changing circumstances that might have sculptured you into
the person you are now. You know the kinda events that either struck you mentally,
emotionally, and spiritually in ways that will always leave your heart throbbing and the spirit
of your soul fill of joy or sadness each and every time you remembered them and thought
now that was “A moment in time”.
Now for me well I had a few that either have strengthen or weaken my character in who and
what I stand for and believe in. Some of which molded the morals and standards I now live
my life by. Yes I did say weaken its funny because not many people would admit to that. I
believe none of us are flawless by any means and I am not a shame to admit I do have my
weak points. But with each day I strive to improve myself with the help of the Lord above
who continues to guide me with his knowledge and give me direction towards the destiny he
has chosen for me. I am listen and learn type person. I don’t believe you are every too old
to learn something new all you need to do is have the ability to listen. Keeping an open
mind and high spirit is what I practice each and everyday. Sharing your knowledge with
others also strengthens your character in ways that may not always show on the surface but
give others a good concept on who you are. To me everything you experience has a
purpose be it bad or good there is always something to learn from it.
Lets get back to my moments that I found had a profoundness in my life. My first love or
should I say crush on someone, for knowing what I know now about love it wasn’t love but
most definitely a crush. Believe it or not this for some people can set their standards on what
love is suppose to be. Me I knew I had a lot more to learn about the subject before I can
truly understand what true unconditional love is all about. Your first kiss, holding hands and
breakup can be pretty devastating as well. Completing your education and walking on stage
getting your diploma or degree another special proud moment for you and
your family. Getting your first job or framing your first paycheck to keep
that moment of achievement as a stepping stone for more to come
instilled in your head. Now the big ones, what my parents considered
life changing getting married. Now you are not just living life but
sharing your life with another. Having your first child another one
for me, there is nothing in world that could beat that feeling.
Holding this new born child in your arms knowing it’s a gift from God.
